F1 Championship turns out to be a dramatic duel between two rivals – McLaren's McLaren's Lewis Hamilton and Mark Webber from Red Bull team. After Sunday Belgian Grand Prix, Hamilton counts three more points (183 pt) than Webber with 181 points and these tight gap put him on leading position of the whole Championship. Weber failed to defend his leading position although Hamilton ride wide almost nine laps who edged him to the second place. But his biggest failure came after slow start that was taken by Hamilton. Another favorites literally Jenson Button,current F1 champion didn't even finish the race after he'd been knocked out by Sebastian Vettel who crashed into him ! while overtaking his vehicle. Vettel got a driving penalty that put him on 15th position, but generally remained third on overall list, grabbing 151 points, Button held fourth position with 147 and Alonso with 141 points. Fernando Alonso also failed Belgium Grand Prix after spinning out and surviving Rubens Barrichello who crashed into him in the second lap. Barrichello is one of F1 veterans completing 299 Grand Prix races. But he didn't make it 300. Renault's racer Robert Kubica took the third place on Sunday before Ferrari pilot Felipe Massa and Adrian Sutil from Force India. Rainy weather complicated maneuvers of even most skilled races, Hamilton got several problems by himself when he ran into a gravel at Rivage, but succeeded to avoid the wall and kept his leading position with secure 12-second advance.Grand Prix series will contintue with Italian race on September 12th. In the opening round of the Basketball World Championship, France has won over Lebanon with the impressive score of 86-59 in the Group D. The girl has announced her plan a year ago and her dream can start coming true, after a month ago, a Dutch family court allowed her to start her trip. One would say that the girl is crazy, but if you know that she was born on a boat in the port of Whangarei, New Zealand while her p! arents were travelling for seven years! Laura had spent the first four years at sea, and two years later she had her own boat, called Optimist. She has had shorter trips on her own, but not all the countries have allowed her to be alone, they asked for her father to accompany her. The plan for the round-the-world trip is to last two years. It is still quite fresh in our memories how French representative football player Nicolas Anelka dropped a brick by his foul-mouthed outburst at then coach Raymond Domenech at the World Cup. And he will probably remember it forever, as French Football Federation decided to ban his from 18 national team matches. French Football Federation disciplinary commission decided that would be the best punishment for his rude words and behavior. This decision ended up Anelka’s international career all but officially. World Cup captain Patrice Evra has neither reason to smile. The commission decided to hand him out a five-match ban. Three matches were banned to vice-captain Franc! k Ribery and one match to Lyon midfielder Jeremy Toulalan. While Evra and Ribery were punished for not performing their duties properly as captain and vice-captain, Toulalan was punished for his statement which was before the disciplinary commission humiliatingly read out by Domenech. Eric Abidal, who was called before the commission for refusing to play in the final group match against South Africa, was afterward declared innocent and was absolved. Former deputy managing director of the team Jean-Louis Valentin said: “I sensed that the players are truthfully sorry, and been left damaged and mortified at what took place, they were conscious of a collective meltdown. As a lover of the French team, and as a supporter of the France team, I think that each player has the right to a second chance.” On the other hand Anelka, who had already intimated that he would not play for France again, is suing L’Equipe newspaper for defamation for misquoting. The leading football players of the French representation got punished due to their exclusively bad games at the World Cup in South Africa. It seems like France just can’t forgive her boys for having bad days. The French Football Federa tion decided to discipline few of the leading players. And what’s! the best way to hurt a football player but not to let him do what he knows the best. The actor that doesn’t play in the theatre is the saddest one. Five footballers got punished, but it seems like Nicolas Anelka got the worst punishments of all. The international striker is forbidden to play in the next 18 matches for the French representation. That is a lot and it seems like his international career is almost over. His quarrel with then coach Raymond Domenech inspired the Federation to discipline him. His colleague Patrice Evra is not going to play in five matches. He was the World Cup captain, and the vice-captain Franck Ribery will have to wait for three matches to return to his compatriot. The best punishment went to Jeremy Toulalan – only one match pause. Eric Abidal was sentenced as well for his refusal not to play in the final group match against South Africa. All of them showed in front of the disciplinary commission. Maybe I am not so involved into th! e football rules, but these punishments seem very severe to me! . To, že Briti kvôli Olympíjskym hrám vydávajú aj medzinárodnú príručku správania sa, môže vyzerať ako celkom dobrý nápad, ba dokonca stať sa výdatným zdrojom zábavy. Aspoň na prvý pohľad. Kvôli Olympiáde Londýn pravdepodobne navštívi niekoľko stotisíc ľudí viac ako je bežná norma – a aby organizátori predišli trápnym faux-pas, rozhodli sa publikovať brožúru objasňujúcu tie, ktoré popisy správania sa jednotlivých národností. Nuž je do! bré, keď viete, že Kanaďania neznášajú zámenu za amerických turistov (avšak právo na nepríjemné pocity so zámenou krajiny majú azda aj iné národy), je skvelé, ak viete, že dlhší očný kontakt a ukazovanie prstom budú Číňania zväčša považovať za prejav neslušného správania sa a bude priam fenomenálne, ak si uvedomíte, že usmievajúci sa Japonec, neznamená primárne šťastný Japonec, ale skôr zmätený Japonec (čo však všeobecne platí o úsmeve medzi národmi ďalekého východu).Takáto brožúra je dobrou lekciou pre londýnskych organizátorov, taxikárov, predavačov a ľudí ponúkajúcich služby všetkého druhu. Pre Britov ktorí sú pod ! 8;a všetého pohostinní, avšak nie veľ! mi slu&# 353;ní (ako uvádza napríklad stránka VisitBritain) môže byť uvedomenie, že na svete existujú ľudia s inými návykmi, ktoré treba rešpektovať iste prínosom. Najmä dnes, v čase kultúrneho mixu a rôznorodosti škatuľkovanie podľa národností nemusí by#! 7; vždy prínosné. Byť brazílsky, či slovenský, neznamená pokryť celú identitu človeka. Etnikum či národnosť už človeka nedeterminuje tak silne, ako v minulosti. Ľudská identita je založená na jeho originálnych, vlastných prejavoch, myšlienkach, autonómii.Pre niektorých turistov môže byť toto národnostné škatuľkovanie prejavom nedostatočného rozhľadu, istej sterility správania sa, či dokonca urážlivosti. V najhoršom prípade môže táto stereotypizácia viesť k vedomej separácii, či vyhýbaniu sa istým skupinám, práve na základe národnej identity. To, že Číňania oplývajú niekoľko tisícročnou históriou nemusí nutne znamenať (ako uvádza príruč! ka) neschopnosť, či nevôľu oceniť nap! rík lad len niekoľko sto rokov starý Big Ben. Takisto hlučná alebo sťažujúca sa skupinka turistov nemusí nutne viesť k názoru, že ide o Američanov, ktorí by podľa príručky mali mať sklony “ k neformálnosti, priamočiarosti, či dokonca drzosti”. Príkladov by bol bezpočet, avšak je vhodné zamyslieť sa nad tým, či by tieto príručky nemuseli viesť k primárne zaujatému správaniu sa voči ľudom. Nuž na jednej strane je takýto malý exkurz do medzinárodnej etikety dobrou myšlienkou, na druhej strane by mala byť, ako všetko na svete, braná s istou rezervou. Ľudia na celom svete dokážu oceniť slušnosť, či priateľské úmysly celkom podvedome, bez akýchkoľvek porúčaní.

Well, at least for the first sight – once you get through a bulleting pointing out all stereotypical bugs about nationalities and their specifics. Ok, it may be usefull to know that Canadians hate being misinterpreted as Americans, such as Chinese tourists consider prolonged eye contact and finger pointing as rude while Japanese smile doesn't mean happiness but a bunch of emotions.At least it may be good for London staff, for taxi drivers or any kind of servicemen. It may be good to know and recognize that there are more nationalities out in the wo! rld and that different people deserve such respect as domestic Londoners. In the country or in the city that is the world within the world this may be a good lecture of international etiquette. But on the other way, such brochure may lack reliability, since British national tourism office published the guide based on opinions of its staff. That may lack any kind of deeper social research and raise questions about negative power of stereotypes.Let's put it in right way – for some people Brazilian or Slovak label is not the indentity. Man is not anymore made from ethnic or nation (especially in the times of cultural mixture), but from his/her own behavior, ideas, characteristics. To be more precise, publishing such guide may lead into labeling visitors and putting them into “boxes”. That in the worst scenario may lead into avoiding of some groups just based on their nationality. Another way it may just increase the power of stereotypes – instead of a ! personality, one can see just labels something like: You are ! from Chi na that way you won't be impressed by Big Ben, because it's only several hundred years old (that is nothing comparing to your thousands years old history). Or you will see some loud and nasty tourists complaining, then you will think – yes, they have to be from America, because American tourists appear "informal to the point of being very direct or even rude".That way one can easily fall into negative approach towards certain people.So, international etiquette brochure is a good idea, but as everything it shall not be taken to the last word and leave some space for a reader to use also his/her mind and heart.

French Freestyle and butterfly swimmer Frederick Bousquet won two golden and a silver medal at the European swimming Championship that ended on Sunday. Thanks to him, the French representation won in the 4x100m medley relay. In the 50m freestyle he came in front of Swedish swimmer Stefan Nystrand, for about 21.49 seconds. Bousquet is one of the most famous French swimmers at all the times. In April 26, 2009 he set the world record in the 50m freestyle. But, his glory lasted three months only, after the world’s swimming federation (FINA) took it away from him due to the enhancing suit he wore. Another curiosity about Bousquet is the fact that he is the first swimmer i! n the world that went under the 21/second mark on the distance. Completely full of himself, but with all the right to be, he shared with the world that he couldn’t be satisfied with anything else but a victory. The three other colleagues from his team didn’t want to hide their joy about winning the gold in the quartet discipline. "Our entire French swimming team couldn't have dreamed of a better conclusion" - said Hugues Duboscq. One thing is for sure, that this year’s Championship went into the glory of previous winners. Who’s good only approved that once again. For instance, Hungarian swimmer Katinka Hosszu, that already had 200m individual medley and silver in the 400m Individual Medley, this time, in front of her natives’ audience, was the best in the 200m butterfly. I keep trying to put myself into French coach Laurent Blanc and feel the pressure on my head after the lost of Norway in the last night’s match. It is not that that match was very important for some result on some list or of some money, but it was the first match that the French representation played under the “wand” of the new leader who came after the debacle his predecessor Domenech did. When the eyes of the world public are pointed to one man than you surely do not want to be that man at least for a day. The new team of French representation which was the vision of Blanc didn’t make it to the friendly meeting and lost the game with the result 2:1! , visiting the Norwegians. Blanc played with experimental team of Les Bleus. He wanted to punish the previous team for playing very bad at the World Cup 2010 in South Africa and showed up with other fighters on the field only a month later. They started the game with a goal that Hatem Ben Arfa achieved, but soon after that Erik Huseklepp returned the same way. For the first game after the World Cup, Blanc decided to engage six uncapped players in the lineup. And now, if the goals are not the most important thing in the game, than commentators say that Frenchmen were bigger initiators than their hosts. But, after all, the scores are what the history remembers. In few years, when one will talk about this certain match, no one will mention the good game, but the score. This evening, French football players will meet in a friendly game with Norwegians. On the World Games, France had the worst placement from all the teams, and disqualified its self in the first round. A lot of criticism showed up against the players and the selector Raymond Domenech, especially. Now, new people lead the team and are looking forward to welcome a win for the nation. In the Domenech’s place came the coach Laurent Blanc, who says that it is time for the fiasco to be put aside. “We’ll always have t! his World Cup scar. Their location is the Danube, where they are about to swim. The biggest favorite for the Hungarian nation is with no doubt, the 24-year old Cseh. He is going to try to win the third consecutive title in the 200m individual medley and a fourth in t! he 400 m medley distance. This hero misses only one title, the most important in his collection – the Olympic Games title. That is held by no one else but US miracle Michael Phelps that has won 7 or 8 golden medals on the last Olympics in China. Nielenže dokázal uhnať všetkých súperov, pred pretekmi dokázal vytvoriť takmer cirkusovú atmosféru a povzbudiť publikum. Nikdy však nezabudnem na okamih, kedy sa len pár sekúnd pred finišom dokázal otočiť a pohľadom skontrolovať svojich súperov. Niečo také je v rýchlosti, ktorá prekoná 100 m za 9.58s niečo t! akmer neuveriteľné. Francúz Christophe Lemaitre sa stal víťazom v behu na sto metrov na tohtoročných majstrovstvách Európy. Majstrovstvá sa odohrávajú v Španielsku a Lemaitre svoju zlatú medailu vyhral v stredu. Lematrov čas bol 10,11 sekúnd, jeho štyria hlavní rivali dobehli v rovnaký čas 10,18 sekundy. Lemaitre upútal pozornosť médií, keď ako prvý šprintér s bielou kožou zabehol sto metrov pod 10 sekúnd. Sám Lematre však tvrdí, že víťazný titul znamená pre neho viac ako akýkoľvek rekord. Lemaitre sa snaží zladiť svoje štúdium elektroinžinierstva so sľubnou kariérou. Ako každý iný mladý človek, aj on rád vo voľnom čase chodí von s kamarátmi, pozerá televíziu, či používa počítač. Lematrie tvrdí, že neplánuje zanechať svoje štúdium.

French Christophe Lemaitre became the winner of the European championship in 100 meters. The championships took place in Spain and Lemaitre won his gold on Wednesday. Lemaitre's time was 10.11 seconds, his four rivals came in at exactly the same time of 10.18 seconds. Lemaitre drove attention of medias when he as the first Caucasioan cracked 10 seconds. However, he says that the winning title meant more to him than records. Lemaitre, 20 years old shy boy from Annecy, set a new French record of 9.98 seconds. He made the record at the national championships before he went to Barcelona. Happy Lemaitre said that for him the joy of being European champion was much greater than r! unning under 10 seconds. Winning titles is that what matters to him and therefore he wants to focus on it more. Lemaitre was a former world champion in 200 metres. On Friday he has a chance to double his gold tally. Lemaitre also wants to compete in the 4x100 relay on Sunday. It seems he has a big plans, therefore he refused every celebrations. He wants tostay focused on work, training and competitions until the end. Just after that he want to celebrate. Lemaitre is definitely a big talent, surprisingly, he came to athletics quite late. He debuted in 2005 when he was found by a local coach. He is still trying hard to balance his studies of electrical engineering with a promising career. As any other young person, in his free time he likes to go out with friends, watch television or use computer. Lemaitre said he had no plans to abondon his studies.
