France tries to excel the World Cup fiasco

After the big debacle at the World Cup in South Africa, France football representation now must find a way to wash its face from the embarrassment. This evening, French football players will meet in a friendly game with Norwegians. On the World Games, France had the worst placement from all the teams, and disqualified its self in the first round. A lot of criticism showed up against the players and the selector Raymond Domenech, especially. Now, new people lead the team and are looking forward to welcome a win for the nation. In the Domenech’s place came the coach Laurent Blanc, who says that it is time for the fiasco to be put aside. “We’ll always have t! his World Cup scar. Only good results will allow us to rub out what happened. We are traveling to Norway aiming for the best possible result, a win” – Blanc said. On the FIFA rankings, France is at the 21st place, only one spot higher than Norway. The fact that this new man for the team really has good vision speaks for his decision not to use one single player that was members of the team for the World Cup. Now, he has a complete new team with 13 uncapped players and 16 league players. One of the measures Blanc is introducing for the players is to keep them away of more and more temptations possible. He is going to ask the teams where they play to organize charter flights for the players and to have them as soon as possible at home. This measure came after the affair in which Franck Ribery and Karim Benzema were involved, and were accused of prostitution in the nightclub on Champs-Elysees. It seems like Blanc is the right decision for this kind of situati! on. He has the big experience as a former Manchester United de! fender a nd has won the World Cup, as well as the European Championship with France.
