France ran in six tries, two of them by centre David Marty and one by Yannick Jauyion, which made over 100 points for France. Within 25 minutes of the match French Imanol Harinordoquy and David Marty managed to run in three tries. For ! France it was easier to win after centre Gonzalo Garcia got yellow card for an illegal block on Marc Andreau. The referee for the match was Irish Alan Lewis.
