Spain won over France in preliminary World Cup match
by Milota Sidorova

The world hasn't even seen the end of the Olympic Games, there's been another tournament getting its attraction. This year the most prestigious football event – the World Cup takes place in South Africa. Each of participant countries is preparing. And the friend's matches are on the program. The current European winner, the team of Spain met France in Stade de France near Paris on Wednesday. Despite being the host and playing with untested center-back Michael Ciani and Julien Escude, Spain proved its domination in the world of football. It won over France with certain victory 2-0. Spanish goals came from the shots of David Villa and Sergio Ramos. Still it was the firs! t defeat in 13 home games. That counts together 42 years. Still, France couldn't respond to Spanish control of the area. The powerlessness of once almost world champions quickly turned the audience against the couch Raymond Domenech. Domenech led France into 2006 finals and the recent misery recalled the wave of questions whether he was able to lead France to South Africa.Spanish players Xavi and Fernando Torres pulled the strings of domestic team in the half-time introduction. They didn't make it to the goals, but it was the breaking point for French team. Since then they drowned in great lake of misery. Spain scored twice in the first-half period. The audience, evidently frustrated by low performance of its representation, cheered every Spanish action by the end of the match. Last year Spain qualified to World Cup unbeaten. The victory over long time rival tastes good, but Del Bosque said they had to stay cautious and humble, because it was not the best football that preva! iled.
