Haideti sa aruncam o privire la ceea ce a marcat pana acum pregatirile pentru importantul eveniment. Prima tulburare a venit din partea Tibetului si torta care a parasit Turnul Eiffel cu Diagana conducand cei 80 de purtatori ai tortei si care a fost stinsa de 4 ori. Felul cum China a manevrat situatia din Tibet (tibetanii lupta pentru independenta) a fost motivul protestelor. Alte probleme privind conducerea chineza sunt detentia fara proces, ignorarea drepturilor omului si cenzura internetului. Multi dintre purtatorii tortei poarta insigne cu „Pentru o lume mai buna” si activistii continua sa convoce la boicot. Chiar si unele figuri politice importante precum presedintele francez ameninta sa nu mearga anul acesta la Jocurile Olimpice. Este oare de ajuns pentru a-l speria pe domnul Rogge? Courage, challenge and humour are general feature human beings, doesn' t matter the nationality, sex, gender, age and any other classifying systems you use.Pending around extreme sports theme, I have found brilliant dialogue among middle aged and youngster from America.The youngster starts like this: ''Oh man, I must tell ya, there's nothing better than those extreme sports, ya know, those wind surfing, shark chasing, bungee jumping. Makes me feel so, huh, extreme, powerful and I can tell ya, you can regret your jean age, because you didn't hear about it at all.''Than the old fella, almost mortally offended bristles his mustache to its full, walrus-like proportions, focus his sight down on this naughty node and starts to speak with terribly deep beer voice:"Young man, if you'd bothered to study any history during your last stint in Juvenile Hall, you'd know that my generation invented extreme sports long before you were hatched," he finishes his academic speech.For a second the growth transforms his mouth into the enourmous cage and finally shuts up.And the old fella carries on speaking about the most favourite extreme bizzard sports of 60's generation. Till one, Julo Satinsky, incredible charming and humorous man of let's say more than enough kilos suggests: Dear friends of mine!(his academic way of speaking could lead the audience into the smiling madness) I suppose I feel great affection for playing such a marvelous and intelligent strategy game: Do you mind either not.The rest of the group, hardly say sober enough accept the propose.And they start to play. Imagine young slim, hairy guy entering the door asking for the stuff. The officier immediately asks Jaro for his adress. What can one do about it? Jaro returns back to the actors and the party's over. Everyone splits and even Julo feels somehow guilty about Jaro. Jaro goes to bed, for the first time praying God, maybe for the first time in his life fot redemption of that horrible situation. And God replies. The door bell starts to ring. Ring Ring! Terribly nearing horror. How it can be in this time?One must say, that the visits during the night often meant police summons. Jaro opens the door and suprised stares at the police officier.''Oh, here you are Mr. Filip. I have those cigarette papers for you!'' says the officier.Jaro amazingly changes into the living piece of human and smiles. ''Oh, thank you dear comrade! Honour to our Republic!''He would invite the officier to cup of slivovica (our national alcohol), but it would be too much.Like in the fairytales, everything turns to good, and if you question about Julo, the order maker, I can only tell you, that Jaro had used all his intelligence to remain him this story.And if you question something like extreme sports, you can't deny that those sports were in some case even more extreme than bungee and other expensive trinkets of our days.

These days, sports are very important and means really much for population and especially for young people. Exercise during playing football, basketball, tennis, snowboarding and many other kinds of sports is not only healthy, but people practicing them, can have a lot of fun and anyway, it is much better way how to spend a spare time than sitting in front of TV all day long. In general, there are many kinds of sports. It is possible to divide them into: outdoor and indoor sports, winter and summer sports or for example into individual or group sports. However, a special group could be represented by extreme sports. Nowadays, the extreme sports are in particular among young generation very popular. Teenagers admire extreme snowboarding, dangerous skydiving, fighting sports, such as boxing, wrestling or a free running. Most off these sports have started being practiced this extreme way quite short time ago or they even have come into being just few years ago, so for old generation are mostly unknown or at least a little bit strange. Nevertheless, most of the 60s generation would say, that they had relatively good alternatives in that time, which were able to raise their adrenaline anyway. Very popular was for instance so-called The Civil Disobedience Obstacle Course, which was based on weaving through lines of opposing players directly to the admittance of residential military recruiting center or any administration building. Sports like Midnight McDonald's Relays or Beer Can Orienteering, which included drinking of heroic quantities of beer, were popular as well.

Phil Rizzuto is a famous baseball player, first of the shortstops who entered in the Hall of Fame. At the age of 89 years, he died in his sleep at a nursing home in West Orange, N.J., suffering of pneumonia. He loved baseball and when we could not play anymore, he turned to a career as a broadcaster of the games, reaching a whole new level of celebrity. He played for Yankees since 1941 until retirement, with a break during Second World War when he was enrolled in the Navy service. The nickname "The Scooter" was given to him because he was a leadoff man with quick feet who won 11 pennants and nine World Series between 1941 and 1956 and played 13 seasons alongside Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio who said that he held the team together. In 21 consecutive World Series games, Rizzuto played errorless ball. Derek Jeter, Yankees' shortstop, underlined that "The Scooter" proved a person should not be judged by the physical stature, but by his will. As announcer he made a difference, being more like a storyteller known for his famous line 'Holy cow!'. He used to acknowledge birthdays and anniversaries, read letters from fans, etc. There is even a Phil Rizzuto Day at the Yankee Stadium honoring his achievements and commitment to the team. And smacks him out from the EURO 2008.
