Is it only my opinion or did it notice also someone else, that extreme sports are mentioned so often these days? Few years ago when someone mentioned some kind of extreme sport such as bungee jumping or snowboarding he was some kind of hero. Because at that time extreme sports were really extreme and only few individuals were able to try it. These days a word “extreme” has no meaning at all – no stress, no high blood pressure, no heart beating. Nothing. It seems to me like every kind of sport was called extreme sport. Like just a fact that a kid is riding a bike somewhere in the forest makes it an extreme matter. Just like the fact that some 11-year-old boy was trying archery made him an extreme sportsman. I know it is good when kids are doing some sport, it is good for their health and so on, but call it an extreme sport is a bit unreasonable. Just because two high schools are doing some competition where the kids are taking part in wall climbing, archery, mountain biking and three wheeled go-carts doesn't make from these event a competition in extreme sports, does it? First of all – which kind of school would take such a responsibility on its shoulders for kids trying doing some kind of extreme sport? I would bet that no one – this is the first reason why the word “extreme” is wrongly used. The second reason is that wall climbing can do also a 6-year-old kid, so some high school students shouldn't have problems with it neither. And mountain climbing – if you think these kids are driving their bikes on high and abrupt rocks then you are wrong. They just take out their bikes for a slow walk through little forest hills. I don't want it to sound as disregard, not at all. I just want people to use the word “extreme sports” in cases when it is needed and truthful.

In Hunstanton, there was planned an exciting weekend for all lovers of extreme sports and curious visitors. This was a part of The Lifestyles Festival, that was in this area during previous weekend, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Members of public were able to watch or even try sports like skateboarding, BMX-riding, kite surfing, soccer, streetdancing, beach volleyball, trampolining and wall-climbing. As Elisabeth Nockolds, the cabinet member for sports, arts and open spaces explains: ,,Lifestiles isn´t just about demonstrations form top performing professionals, it´s about encouraging people to have a go.” Some experts were present at this undertaking too. The best local BMX-riders or skaters were performing a plenty of their abilities. They were attracting audience with their gravity-defying performance. Live bands were performing and making the time at this festival for visitors even more pleasant. Organizers were thinking about each detail and solved each problem in advance. For visitors willing to stay during whole weekend, there were a camping facilitates. The event was organized by West Norfolk Council, Hunstanton Sailing Club and Klas-A. The new Headline sponsor was Adrian Flux Insurance Services. The 2008 Summer Olympic games will be held in Beijing, People's Republic of China from August 8 to August 24, 2008. The program will contain 302 events, including nine new events. NBC is currently preparing a big research in an attempt to measure consumption of the Olympics coverage. The coverage will be much higher than 171 hours available 12 years ago, because it will extend to coverage on NBC, Telemundo, USA, Oxygen, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo and online and mobile video streaming. The aim is to discover how many people are watching Olympics in other ways besides TV. NBC will cooperate with Nielsen Media Research and it will use a tool called Total Audience Measurement Index too. NBC plans to perform daily survey of 500 people. Additionally, group of 40-50 people will wear a measurement device owned by Integrated Media Measurement Inc. (IMMI). IMMI tracks media 24 hours a day including media that other research companies can't accurately measure such as television viewing outside the home, radio, DVDs, audio CDs , theatrical films, live concerts and sporting events, cell phone videos and games. The final summary is likely to be made in New York and Cleveland and combine all the used methods. NBC has also asked people about their attitude to the Tibet protests. Alan Wurtzel, NBC Universal research chief said that 90 % of respondents said that it has no impact on viewing Olympics. Another survey showed that 75-80 % of those surveyed want to watch at least some of the Olympics, what is a similar number to the previous Olympic games held in Athens.

Questions such as "Is it possible to live on the Mars?" or "What are those blurs on the Moon?" were always fascinating people. And just the question if is it possible to live at one of these planets is the main driving mechanism of all researches. Another research just began. On June 30, Cassini with his co-operators started his two-year tour which could bring another answers about one of the most mysterious planet & Saturn. Except Saturn's ring which is full of answers by itself, Cassini was a witness of several electrical storms there. These so called monster storms are not called so just like that. Well honestly, I like storms but only when I am sitting safely at home and drinking hot black tea with lemon. I admit that I have a big respect. You have to have a big endurance because it include also sprinting, diving on hard floors and a lot of action.The main idea of this sport is to bounce off the ball the front wall and then bounce it twice to your opponent. Then he have to be able to strike it back. To take a point you have to serve. The balls before reaching the front wall they have to be bounced off to the side walls, back walls or the roof. Regarding the equipment for racquetball is minimal. To play you only need the racquet, set of balls and some goggles. Of course if you want to play professionally your equipment will be quite bigger. The prices are quite kindly. All basic equipment you can buy for about $40. But of course, racquetball clubs offer you the possibility to rent it for around $3.When you have all necessary equipment, the other step is to find the sport place, where they have the racquetball courts. Courage, challenge and humour are general feature human beings, doesn' t matter the nationality, sex, gender, age and any other classifying systems you use.Pending around extreme sports theme, I have found brilliant dialogue among middle aged and youngster from America.The youngster starts like this: ''Oh man, I must tell ya, there's nothing better than those extreme sports, ya know, those wind surfing, shark chasing, bungee jumping. Makes me feel so, huh, extreme, powerful and I can tell ya, you can regret your jean age, because you didn't hear about it at all.''Than the old fella, almost mortally offended bristles his mustache to its full, walrus-like proportions, focus his sight down on this naughty node and starts to speak with terribly deep beer voice:"Young man, if you'd bothered to study any history during your last stint in Juvenile Hall, you'd know that my generation invented extreme sports long before you were hatched," he finishes his academic speech.For a second the growth transforms his mouth into the enourmous cage and finally shuts up.And the old fella carries on speaking about the most favourite extreme bizzard sports of 60's generation. Let's take few of them. The first, promo nervous event named: The Civil Disobedience Obstacle Course entails weaving player's way through lines of opposing team (mostly members of security guard, police, or beer fueled rednecks). Moreover, when you strike for your life, work and art in a coutnry, where a bare word can put you in the prison. You can't listen to the western music, and all the western pleasures including cigarettes and clothing are inaffordable luxury.But back to our tuned actors, drinking our national alcohol, singing and passing relatively cosy evening. Till one, Julo Satinsky, incredible charming and humorous man of let's say more than enough kilos suggests: Dear friends of mine!(his academic way of speaking could lead the audience into the smiling madness) I suppose I feel great affection for playing such a marvelous and intelligent strategy game: Do you mind either not.The rest of the group, hardly say sober enough accept the propose.And they start to play. One player asks another: Do you mind either not?Now the asked one have to decide whether he fulfills the order from the first one or lays down the deposit. So it starts. It's very important to introduce another musican and actor of that times, Jaro Filip, who has been always known for a satirical and ironical humour so far. He knows a hell lot of people, he always jutts from the crowd, even the leading party marks him as a 'decent dissident'.So Jaro asks Julo: ''Do you mind either not, Mr. Satinsky?''And Julo despite noticing Jaro's malicious sight answers with all the gentleman's pride: ''I don't mind, dear friend Jaroslav!''And here it comes. Jaroslav continues. ''Dear Mr. Satinsky, you will have to jump into baby buggy and round our block three times.'' It' s necessary to say, that in this time, still a lot of people were passing the streets. Watching overweight famous actor trying to ride the baby buggy itself, will rise to hell lot of suspections. Western spy. Dissident. Drunken actor's rat.But Julo gets into the buggy and hardly rounds three times around the concret block of Bratislava's suburb. Yet, the revenge comes out.The game continues more less in good and funny direction, unless the Julo comes into turn.He asks Jaro:''Dear friend of mine, do you mind either not?''Jaro had to know, where the wind blows but still replied with courage:'' I don't mind.''Julo orders the worst order ever possible: ''Dear friend of mine, will you kindly go and visit the member of public guard (in our world known as a cop) and ask him for a cigarette paper?''Jaro knows that filling this order entails an accusation for public provokation, either vandalism.But, man's word has to be paid.Hardly breathing he visits the nearest police station, coming to the officier and asking him for a cigarette paper. Imagine young slim, hairy guy entering the door asking for the stuff. The officier immediately asks Jaro for his adress. What can one do about it? Jaro returns back to the actors and the party's over. Everyone splits and even Julo feels somehow guilty about Jaro. Jaro goes to bed, for the first time praying God, maybe for the first time in his life fot redemption of that horrible situation. And God replies. The door bell starts to ring. Ring Ring! Terribly nearing horror. How it can be in this time?One must say, that the visits during the night often meant police summons. Jaro opens the door and suprised stares at the police officier.''Oh, here you are Mr. Filip. I have those cigarette papers for you!'' says the officier.Jaro amazingly changes into the living piece of human and smiles. ''Oh, thank you dear comrade! Honour to our Republic!''He would invite the officier to cup of slivovica (our national alcohol), but it would be too much.Like in the fairytales, everything turns to good, and if you question about Julo, the order maker, I can only tell you, that Jaro had used all his intelligence to remain him this story.And if you question something like extreme sports, you can't deny that those sports were in some case even more extreme than bungee and other expensive trinkets of our days.

These days, sports are very important and means really much for population and especially for young people. Exercise during playing football, basketball, tennis, snowboarding and many other kinds of sports is not only healthy, but people practicing them, can have a lot of fun and anyway, it is much better way how to spend a spare time than sitting in front of TV all day long. In general, there are many kinds of sports. It is possible to divide them into: outdoor and indoor sports, winter and summer sports or for example into individual or group sports. However, a special group could be represented by extreme sports. Nowadays, the extreme sports are in particular among young generation very popular. Teenagers admire extreme snowboarding, dangerous skydiving, fighting sports, such as boxing, wrestling or a free running. Most off these sports have started being practiced this extreme way quite short time ago or they even have come into being just few years ago, so for old generation are mostly unknown or at least a little bit strange. Nevertheless, most of the 60s generation would say, that they had relatively good alternatives in that time, which were able to raise their adrenaline anyway. Very popular was for instance so-called The Civil Disobedience Obstacle Course, which was based on weaving through lines of opposing players directly to the admittance of residential military recruiting center or any administration building. Sports like Midnight McDonald's Relays or Beer Can Orienteering, which included drinking of heroic quantities of beer, were popular as well.

Yet, the revenge comes out.The game continues more less in good and funny direction, unless the Julo comes into turn.He asks Jaro:''Dear friend of mine, do you mind either not?''Jaro had to know, where the wind blows but still replied with courage:'' I don't mind.''Julo orders the worst order ever possible: ''Dear friend of mine, will you kindly go and visit the member of public guard (in our world known as a cop) and ask him for a cigarette paper?''Jaro knows that filling this order entails an accusation for public provokation, either vandalism.But, man's word has to be paid.Hardly breathing he visits the nearest police station, coming to the officier and asking him for a cigarette paper. Imagine young slim, hairy guy entering the door asking for the stuff. The officier immediately asks Jaro for his adress. What can one do about it? Jaro returns back to the actors and the party's over. Everyone splits and even Julo feels somehow guilty about Jaro. Jaro goes to bed, for the first time praying God, maybe for the first time in his life fot redemption of that horrible situation. And God replies. The door bell starts to ring. Ring Ring! Terribly nearing horror. How it can be in this time?One must say, that the visits during the night often meant police summons. Jaro opens the door and suprised stares at the police officier.''Oh, here you are Mr. Filip. I have those cigarette papers for you!'' says the officier.Jaro amazingly changes into the living piece of human and smiles. ''Oh, thank you dear comrade! Honour to our Republic!''He would invite the officier to cup of slivovica (our national alcohol), but it would be too much.Like in the fairytales, everything turns to good, and if you question about Julo, the order maker, I can only tell you, that Jaro had used all his intelligence to remain him this story.And if you question something like extreme sports, you can't deny that those sports were in some case even more extreme than bungee and other expensive trinkets of our days.

Teenagers admire extreme snowboarding, dangerous skydiving, fighting sports, such as boxing, wrestling or a free running. Most off these sports have started being practiced this extreme way quite short time ago or they even have come into being just few years ago, so for old generation are mostly unknown or at least a little bit strange. These days, sports are very important and means really much for population and especially for young people. Exercise during playing football, basketball, tennis, snowboarding and many other kinds of sports is not only healthy, but people practicing them, can have a lot of fun and anyway, it is much better way how to spend a spare time than sitting in front of TV all day long. In general, there are many kinds of sports. It is possible to divide them into: outdoor and indoor sports, winter and summer sports or for example into individual or group sports. However, a special group could be represented by extreme sports. Nowadays, the extreme sports are in particular among young generation very popular. Teenagers admire extreme snowboarding, dangerous skydiving, fighting sports, such as boxing, wrestling or a free running. Most off these sports have started being practiced this extreme way quite short time ago or they even have come into being just few years ago, so for old generation are mostly unknown or at least a little bit strange. Nevertheless, most of the 60s generation would say, that they had relatively good alternatives in that time, which were able to raise their adrenaline anyway. Very popular was for instance so-called The Civil Disobedience Obstacle Course, which was based on weaving through lines of opposing players directly to the admittance of residential military recruiting center or any administration building. Sports like Midnight McDonald's Relays or Beer Can Orienteering, which included drinking of heroic quantities of beer, were popular as well.
