Will Women Ever Outrun Men?

For many years researches have had a theory, that women´s body is better suitable for long distance running as are marathon races. This theory was created, becuase women usually have greater fat or fuel store which they can in the case of emergency use. However, the results of the marathons say something else. It is true, that the gap between the best men´s and women´s times at marathons have narrowed, but they are still not the same. And according to Tim Noakes, who is a professor of exercise and sports science, this gap will be never narrowed until women become men.
These speculations about winning women in the long distance races began sometime in the 1970´s. There is even one famous race called Comrades marathon in South Africa, where was written a paper about winner. If one woman and one man would run the target at the same time, in the longer distances than usual marathon is, the woman would probably win in more than an hour. But they realized, that this theroy is not exaclty like that.
There is a big difference between recreational and professional runners. The recreants are usually of different size. Men often have their weight bigger in more than10 kg, therefore they have less mass which is around them. So if we don´t talk about exact weight, women have more advantage in long distance running. But the professional runners are usually about the same size, men as women. So in this case when we match the weight, men run about 10% faster than women. It is probably because of testosteron. It creates a a big strength in your muscles, therefore until women will have testosteron in their body, they will never run faster than men.
