Brazilian Parreira announced war to Mexico
by Zivka Deleva

The representatives of the host South Africa and Mexico are the first to start the biggest sports event ever – the 2010 World Cup, today. Around 95,000 football fans are going to follow the opening match at Soccer City stadium. “This is war. We have worked hard. Above all, my team has formed an identity. I have tried to give this team a Brazilian touch” – said South Africa’s coach, Brazilian Carlos Alberto Parreira, one day before the match. Parreira is the man that has participated in six World Cups before. He has been the leading strategist to a Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Brazil and Saudi Arabia representations. Carlos Alberto Parreira c! ame on the place of Serbian coach Bora Milutinovic. The Brasilian coach is considered one of the best in the history of the football. One of his worst moments in his career was after his team Saudi Arabia officials quit the collaboration with his, because they lost from France with four goals. We have one month to see how he is going to manage to organize the South African boys on their field. His engagement costs 200,000 a month. That is not a small amount of money for such a poor country. If we know that in the last 12 matches that the South Africa team has played, hasn’t lost nor one, that we might expect that the people that celebrate the most subsidiary job ever, are going to be satisfied with the final results. Today is a big day for the African nation, especially the one in the Mandela’s country. For the first time in the World Cup history, the black continent organizes the meeting of the nations.
