Brazil squeezed North Korea
by Barbora Misakova

Even though I am not a football fan I still understand those of you who are living for it (or any other kind of sport). Sport is not a game, but fight. That is (probably) the most fascinating thing. But football seems to me like a boring war of ants just wearing different colors. But I know that for some of you it must be more than that so forgive me my comments (if they are stupid or something), as they are just notes of anti-footballer. Tuesday’s encounter between Brazil and North Korea was supposedly very tense. It took 55 minutes to Brazilian players to break Korean’s defense when Maicona produced an astonishing goal out of the blue and set Brazil on the way! to a 2-1 win. Spectators had to wait another 17 minutes to see another goal which added Elano. But guys from North Korea didn’t give it up and when in the 87th minute Ji Yun-Nam past two players he made the third goal of this game. Even though it wasn’t enough and Brazil won this game, it was not as easy as one (especially such a football idiot as I) would expect from this team. According to observers Brazilian players were holding ball most of the game, but they were clueless as to how to unlock defense of the Asian team. Although Koreans were not too offensive, their goalkeeper Ri Myong-Guka coped with most of the Brazilian attempts easily what can after all be seen on the result of this game.
