Round Two French Open
by Claudia Sonea

The second round of the major tennis tournament Roland Garros announces pretty good games, but not so thrilling as tennis lovers expected. There are still some very good players in the competition, but there have also been surprises coming from some of the top players. Justine Henin and Rafael Nadal managed to get through the matches on Tuesday and advance into the second round getting closer to the title. Dinara Safina, however, had to leave the competition after being defeated by Japan's Kimiko Date Krumm. Sharapova breezed too in the second round after winning over the Russian Ksenia Pervak. American Andy Roddick ! sent home number 69 Jarkko Nieminen after a 6-2, 4-6, 4-6, 7-6 match. The most awaited match is however, the one between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. On the fourth day of the French Open Federer kept the crowd in suspense by starting with a mistake the match with Alejandro Falla, but he recovered quickly and cruised into to the third round thus getting closer to a match with Nadal. He has to defend his title and fame of world champion after winning French Open last year, while Nadal has to wash away his shame of losing last year the same tournament. As far as the women single is concerned, the main favorite remains Serena Williams, while her sister Venus comes up the second. Up to now Serena got our attention not only with a thrilling serve, but also with an extremely hot outfit. Keep your eyes on the ball, as the story is rapidly coming to an end.
