Lauren Blanc, possibly new French football team coach

When French national football team coach Raymond Domenech said goodbye to the long term football team player Partick Vieira last week, he did know a little about his successor. The hint now points to Laurent Blanc who frehsly stepped out of FC Girondins de Bordeaux team coach contract. For Domenech, long term national coach, this World cup will be definitely the last one. For Blanc it is the major challenge.Blanc who won both - World Cup as well as Euro Cup as a team defender became a coach in Bordeaux and made it to the 2009 league title, although the team was able to finish only on sixth place, far from European places this Saturday's final.And all of a sudden, Laurent Bl! anc has quit as a coach. According observers it was the major step to take the national team position and replace Domenech after the World Cup.For Bordeaux club, however it was a little surprise, as it repeatly released statements that Blanc wished to respond favourably to an offer by the FFF to become the French coach. The offer came from FFF president Jean-Pierre Escalettes. Laurent Blanc is committed to lead Bordeaux team untill 2011. Before making any further step he is about to face four Ligue 1 games left. Jean-Pierre Escalettes who pointed a finger upon Blanck by saying “the ball was now in the court of the former World Cup and European championship winner” also said the decision would to be done in peace and would be laid totally upon Blanc himself.
