Tennis lovers all over the world prepare as the French Open is ongoing from May 23rd to June the 6th. Day One and two just took place and but you still have the chance to see spectacular matches in the following days. Let’s see what you missed. On Sunday, the Sweden Robin Soderling eliminated French tennis player Laurent Recouderc with a smashing score of 6-0, 6-2, 6-3, stunning everyone with his serve. However, the French regained their respect through Jo-Wilfried Tsonga who won against the German Daniel Brands. Among the winners were Marin Cilic, Mikhail Youzhny, Julien Benneteau, Alejandro Falla at the category “Men's Singl! es”. As far as the category “Women’s Singles” is concerned, the winners of the first round were marginalized by Williams’ outfit that got all the attention. However, Williams dazzled not only with her lacy corset, but also with her game, succeeding to beat Patty Schnyder. Williams will be joined in the second round by Kuznetsova, Daniela Hantuchova, Shahar Peer and others. On Monday Roger Federer swept the court with the Australian Peter Luczak and advanced towards the second round hopping to finally win the Roland Garros crown. Another player that dazzled was Britain's Andy Murray who managed to win over France's Richard Gasquet in a five-set first-round match that will remain in the viewer’s memory for a long time. After being led in the first two rounds with 4-6 and 6-7, Murray won the last three rounds with an extrodinary score of 6-4, 6-2, 6-1. For the third day are scheduled Andy Roddick and Jar! kko Nieminen, Justine Henin and Tsvetana Pironkova, Lleyton He! witt and Jeremy Chardy, as well as many other interesting matches that you will find on the official website of the major tennis tournament.
