Federer loses again
by Claudia Sonea
Wimbledon is over, but Roger Federer seems unable to get over it. He had a rough time losing against his long time rival Rafael Nadal and he just cannot get up and continue the fight. Even before the previously mentioned tournament he barely managed to get one title and unfortunately registered seven losses. What will happen to him?At the US Masters Series Tennis Tournament held in Cincinnati Federer lost another match on Thursday with a score of 7-6 (8), 4-6, 7-6 (7) against the Croatian Ivo Karlovic. Although he was for a long time No 1 (a record of 235 consecutive weeks), chances are for him to lose that spot. AT least he can be happy that his rival Nadal didn’t make it to the Final either and lost in front of the Serbian Djokovic.
Federer lost even the Toronto tournament and lost in an embarrassing way on Thursday, not getting even into the Final of a tournament that he won last year. Luckily for him, Nadal didn’t either, so he can still keep his title for a while. The question is how long will that be?
If you were curious to know who actually got in to the final, then you should be prepared for a surprise. For the first time since Tim Henman in 2000 a British, Andy Murray who defeated Karlovic, will go against the fearful Serbian Djokovic. You can expect a real showdown in Cincinnati on Sunday, don’t waste anymore time and be there. Enjoy!
