Epic battle on Olympics

Michael Fred Phelps is an American swimmer and 11-time Olympic Gold medalist who holds world records in several events. So far, Phelps has won a total of 45 career medals: 37 golds, 6 silvers and 2 bronze. This includes all the Championships he has competed in: The Olympics, the World Championships, and the Pan Pacific Championships. He also stakes his claim to be the ultimate Olympian on Wednesday, swimming two finals in an hour as he bids to overtake an elite group including Mark Spitz and Carl Lewis on a record nine career golds.
Phelps is also a one little part of war of two countries – China and USA, in the fight for the whatever consistent medal. China and United States are already fighting an epic battle at the top of the medals table. This is for example a reason, why it is said, that sportsmen do not fight only for themselves but also for their country.
Except Phelphs there are also another articles of the epic battle between countries. Another part is American basketball team and also women teams gymnastic. American women team dethroned China as a world champions 2007 and arrived on Olympics with high hopes of giving their country their first Games team title on foreign soil. Althought, two of their gymnasts are both nursing ankle injuries and they were outclassed in qualifying. But their best hope is, that the Chinese fail to cope with an unaccustomed early start.
Who will lead after this Olympics in number of medals in world table we still do not know. We can only see the battle is very intensive. And for the audience it is fun at all.
