New coach, new decisions!

The shame that came to France from South Africa was hard to bear. French National Football team not only disappointed French people by their way of play, but also by their unforgivable behavior during the World Cup. Players not only boycotted training session, but the whole world was informed in detail about the dialogue between striker Nicolas Anelka and the former coach Raymond Domenech. France believes that change of couches will help. New France coach Laurent Blanc, who was previously the manager of Bordeaux, formerly played professional football for numerous clubs so he has a lot of experience not only as a player, but also as a manager. Blanc has a huge job ahead, but! the question is how will he use all his qualification? His biggest task is to restore the faith of the nation, which was sorely tested during the South African debacle. He will be also charged with fixing a breakdown in communication between the coach and the media and last but not least he will also have to reassert coach’s authority over the players. Reasserting authority is probably the main task and will be closely observed as Blanc said it was not up to him to discipline players who went on strike during the 2010 World Cup. “I followed the events with great sadness. I was disappointed by the results and I was particularly shocked by some behavior. However, I am not the bogeyman. It is not my responsibility to take disciplinary action.” he said during a news conference on Tuesday. For those French who expected electric storm in the National Football team it must be another disappointment of this year. But that was decision of new couch which I persona! lly consider to be the right one.
