Greece beating Nigeria

If one wants to comment World Cup in South Africa, he finds if more and more difficult. Because it seems champions melt against underdogs and it is kind of hard and foolish to project future happenings. I always remeber the words of my friend – one's got to have a luck playing the football.I can't say whether it was just a matter of luck or extreme concentration and will if one sees Chile beating Honduras after more than 40 years, Koreans fighting hard against Brazil or Switzerland declassing Spain. But it is cetrainly a hot topic to discuss for fans.Yesterday, another surprise appeared – Greece won over Nigeria 2-1 earning their first time ever victory in the W! orld Cup. Greek team has been cheerished by the victory against such strong team as Nigeria was. Although the beginning of the game got well for African team with Uche 35 metre freekick float just behind Alexandros Tzorvas back. Nigeria took control until 33rd minute, but the red card for Kaita meant the breaking point of the game. That moment Greek coach Otto Rehhagel changed defensive Socratis Papastathopoulos with striker Giorgios Samaras. The choice proved to be right with Samaras striking off-line shot two minutes later. Greek fought for their lives and 44th minute brought them not only the first goal, but historical victory on Championship ground. Greek team is now nourishing their hope to reach quarter finals from group B, leaving behing Korea Republic that lost with Maradona's team 4-1. And so far, Argentina is the first team reaching higer level of World Cup without any problems.
