Daytona 500- could come down to teamwork? Zuzana Krskova
The winner of 10 races last season and his second NASCAR championship is held back in his team. This year, Johnson is trying to win the third title. If he does, he will become the second racer in the history, who reached this success. He can try it in Sunday's Daytona 500 pursuit, which will open the season."I fell very good about where we are, and I know what we've done in the offseason has only made us stronger," Johnson said. "But I still think we have a lot of room for improvement."Johnson's Hendrick Motorsports now includes Dale Earnhardt Jr.,who is supposed to be a strong competition for Johnson.Earnhardt won last week's Budweiser Shootout in Hendrick Motorspots debut, and two qualifying races Thursday. That made him as the favorite to win the Daytona 500.Tony Stewart, the searcher for his first Daytona 500 win, has had tried to reach the first place in nine previous NASCAR's races. He and Busch and Hamlin, racer for the same team found out, that winning will depend on teamwork, and he doesn't like it."There's safety in numbers- and that's disappointing part," said Stewart. "That's what this race has come down to, not great individual performances, but sheer numbers of strength. I think it's harder than ever to win because you've got rely on everyone else."He thinks, that the only think he can count on, is that his teammates will work with him and he hates the feeling, that he will have to rely on someone else for his success."I feel we finally have a shot to beat that lineup of four guys that i had to go up against the other night,"I feel we have three good cars in our camp, they've got four good cars on their side. That's about as even as it gets."The Daytona 500 is 200-lap, 500 mile NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Races are made annually at the Daytone International Speedway in Daytona Beach in Florida. This year is celebrating its 50th running.
