Maratonot vo Nju Jork e glaven gosishen maraton (42.19 kilometri) koj sto se odviva niz site pet opshtini na Nu Jork. Trkata e organizirana od New Yourk Road Runners (NYRR) i se odrzuva sekoja godina od 1970 godina. Sponzorirana e od ING pa poslednive godini vo imeto na maratonot stoi ovaa pretstavka. Se odrzuva vo prvata sabota od noemvri i privlekuva profesionalni natprevaruvachi i amateri od celiot svet. poradi svojata popularnost uchestvoto e ogranicheno na 37 000 uchesnici poveketo izbrani preku sistem na lotarija. toj pratstavuva dolgogodishna tradicija i pretstavuva ogromna chest da se bide del od nego. Maratonot e privlechen za tolkav broj lugje ne samo zaradi nagradata od 600 000 dolari, tuku i za ogromniot publicitet od site mediumimi vo USA. Ovogodineshniot pobednik beshe ogromno iznenaduvanje. 26 godishniot Gebre Gebremariam od Etiopija, na negoviot prv maraton, pobedi vo trkata posle prestignuvanjeto na negoviot najseriozen rival Emmanuel Mutai od Kenija, na 25t! ata milja, za da zavrshi sam so vreme od 2 chasa 8 minuti i 14 sekundi. Mutai zavrsi vtor so poveke od edna minuta pozadi Gebremariam. Edna Kiplagat pobedi vo zenskata trka so vreme od 2 chasa 28 minuti i 20 sekundi, pred amerikankata Shalane Flanagan. Na trkata uchestvuvashe i 37 godishniot svetski rekorder Haile Gebrselassie, koj trchase so povredenno koleno i se otkaza od trkata na 16tiot kilometar. Posle trkata toj go objavi svoeto penzioniranje.

NYC marathon tradition that live

The New York City marathon is a major annual marathon (42.19 kilometers) that runs through the five boroughs of New York. The race is organized by New York Road Runners (NYRR) and has been run every year since 1970. It is sponsored by ING so in the past few years it is called ING NYC marathon. It is held on the first Sunday of November and attracts professional competitors and amateurs from all over the world. Because of the popularity of the race, participation is limited to 37,000 entrants chosen largely by a lottery system. It is a long year tradition and it is a great honor to be part of this race. The race attracts many world-class professional athletes, not only for the more than $600,000 in prize money, but also for the chance of becoming top news in all of the media around USA. This year’s winner was complete surprise. Gebre Gebremariam, 26 years old from Ethiopia, in his first ever marathon, won the race after breaking ahead of his last rival, Emmanuel Mutai ! of Kenya, in the 25th mile to finish alone with a time of 2 hours 8 minutes 14 seconds. Mutai finished second, with more than a minuite behind Gebremariam. Edna Kiplagat won the women's title with a time of 2 hours, 28 minutes, 20 seconds, ahead of American Shalane Flanagan. The race featured 37-year-old world record holder Haile Gebrselassie, who ran with a bad knee and dropped out of the race at the 16th mile. Afterwards, he announced his retirement.
