9-year-old boy told he's too good to pitch

Jericho Scott, a nine- year old boy who plays baseball for the Youth Baseball League of New Haven is too good to play. He is a right-hander, but his throws are too tough, sometimes their speed is around 40 mph. So, the league told his coach, that he should not pitch any more.
So the officials suggested, as the opposing team on Wedensday left the field and forfeited the game, that the team in which Jericho plays could be redistributed into other teams and they also said that the coach of Jericho has resigned.
But he says, he had not resigned and that the team does not want to be redistributed. But parents protested on Saturday, to dismiss Jericho, as they are afraid for their children.
He had not hurt anyone so far, but his throws are very hard and he seemd to be skilled. However, the league is composed mainly of beginners and it is kind of frightening for them to play with Jericho. On the other side, it is unfair to him , as he would be punished for beiing excellent at something, although he did not hurt anyone. He has a been a big target for parents now, but for him it must be discouraging. Jericho feels it is his fault that noone wants to play baseball there. But the league is developmental, not professional, so they suggest him to play with older players, or to be in another league or to play in another position.
His mother was very angry with the league and she even did call the police on Wedensday. Now, they are trying to solve the problem with local attorney John Williams and discuss the possible options.
