Richards, Jones squander chances at Olympic gold
by Paulina Neshybova

Two athletes supposed to win their races, failed. Was it an accident, or nervosity?
Lolo Jones should have won the olympic 100m hurdle title, she was expected to do so, but the fate was different. She was leading the whole race, and finally at the ninth hurdle from ten she slammed into the barrier on Tuesday night.
It was her biggest chance to win, but she fell from the firts place to the seventh. After that she went to her knees in despair.
She was greatly introduced to the crowd also bcause of her life story. Having a hard life by living in the church cell, then working in the soters and finally as a waitress, she had the trust of fans. Jones was ashamed that this had happend just on the biggest race of her life.
The race won Harper, who barely get to the Olympics in the trials. The crow almost knew nothing about her, as she had not intoduced her childhood and did not have the best year´s time as Jones. So Jones put her hands on her hand as she saw Harper running across with the flag vawing for victory, however, she was happy for the girl.

The second athlete missing her victory was Sanya Richards. She was also suppose to win the race in 400 m, and she led until the final 80metres. There she began to slow down and was passed by two other athletes. She said that it was becuase of her injury on the tightening right hamstring and finally she was happy to end up with at least the bronze medal behind Britain's Christine Ohuruogu and Jamaica's Shericka Williams. But neither she could not bare that fact and after the race she eas foun sititng on the floor and crying into the cellphone. She that this race was hers, but porbably the break after her disease was too tough.
