Men have two main topics among themselves: sports and politics. Of course politics is a subject they approach later in life, while the other one is from a small age until they age and eventually die. When the two matter mix, there you have men's dream. Tiger Woods has fulfilled that dream. For those that don't know who Tiger Woods is (and I seriously doubt that there are too many), I will offer some details: is an American professional golfer whose achievements to date rank him among the most successful golfers of all time, currently the World No 1. Being impressed with Democratic Party presidential candidate Barack Obama for various reasons, when he was asked what he thinks on the senator from Illinois, who like himself has an African-American father, he revealed that he is impressed and see in him an inspiration for many in the United States. He added that he is genuine impressed by all the candidates and their determination and their way of pleading for their platform. Nevertheless, the World Champion preparing for the Dubai Desert Classic has not given any forecast regarding the outcome of the Presidential election. As wise as any qualified political analyst, he prefers to wait and see what will happen. Men like always know what they are talking when it comes to these two subjects that imply the competition for power. Good luck to Tiger and a fair chance to all the Presidential candidates. Stay connected and keep in touch!

My father and brother are typical men, it means they love doing and also watching various kinds of sport ranging from volleyball, tennis, skiing to soccer while the last mentioned is their favorite. Every Sunday when our city's league is played they are there watching and of course swearing if the match is not developing the way they want to. However I never thought they could be in danger until Dr. Gerhard Steinbeck didn't present results of his research. Steinbeck who works for Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich made with his colleagues research related to health hazard connected with European soccer. Their study was released in New England Journal of Medicine where they claim that emotional stress can lead or even be a reason of heart problems. Steinbeck with his colleagues made this research during World Cup in Germany in 2006 and results were compared with other periods in 2003 and 2005. This study included more than 4000 patients and results showed that cases of cardiac emergencies increased two times, for men had been even tripled. Another expert, psychologist Douglas Carroll from University of Birmingham said that soccer can have similar influence on our heart as war or earthquakes & in all cases it can make such emotional pressure on our heart we can get a heart attack! Just imagine, you are going on football match, you just want to drink one beer or have some hamburger, you just want to enjoy your ordinary Sunday but there is no assurance you will come back home alive. But this danger touches also soccer players themselves. Just remember how many soccer players died on heart attack during the match. Of course experts do not force us to stop playing or watching soccer & honestly they could hardly achieve this gain, they appeal on us not to smoke and drink a lot, try to avoid overeating and junk food and last but not least try not to get angry what is sometimes more than impossible. For those who have problems with hear or have high blood pressure or diabetes they recommend to take their medications as prescribed and what is the most important & do not over-expert themselves physically. So if you belong to soccer lover you should be careful and do not forget that soccer is just a sport.

Novak Djokovic & the new Grand Slam champion by Milota Sidorova
MELBOURNE, Jan. 27. The first Grand Slam winner in the history of Serbia. Only 20 years old Novak Djokovic gains a dramatic victory by beating Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 4-6 6-4 6-3 7-6 in Sunday's final at the 2008 Australian Open. On his way up he tamed Roger Federer in the semifinals and after a match lasting three hours and six minutes he finally knocked out the favorite challenger, 22 years old Tsonga, known as Muhammad Ali of tennis. In the beginning Djokovic felt that even the audience wanted the Frenchman to win. He claimed that he had two rivals, the fans and Tsonga. For his aggressive and mettlesome style player no. 38 in the world chart soon became a Melbourne minion. Due to his victory, France could gain another Grand Slam champion since Yannick Noah won at Roland Garros in 1983. "Coming on against a player with nothing to lose -- he was going for the shots and he was very dangerous, especially in the first set -- I was pretty nervous," claimed Novak, who had lost the first set, but made up his game in the second and third set. "I was trying to stay with him because I knew sooner or later, with my style of game, I could get in control of the match," Behind Federer and Nadal, young Serbian holds No.3 in the rankings, while Tsonga scraped out to No.18. Djokovic is expecting wild celebrations back in Serbia. According to his words this is a small country without a tennis tradition. Despite of that, Serbian expedition reached the semifinals at Melbourne Park this year.

We never can be sure about the winner by Barbora Misakova
There's such a saying in Slovak which says that the strongest wins, and I think it is true. We can see it through history and also in daily life. All wars ever, all card games, or job successes & always the strongest won. There is no doubt about this truth also in a sport. My personal opinion is that everyone should get a chance to show what he or she knows, what can do, and if they approve their ability they should be appreciated as winners. Even though we didn't expect just he could manage it. You probably know what I am going to talk about & yes about tennis. Tennis, the game where both tennis players try to be the strongest one. These days the biggest surprise was when second-rated Rafael Nadal was dominated by Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Rafael Nadal Parera, as his full name sounds, is one of the professional tennis players. He was born in Mallorca, Spain in 1986 and in his short carrier was in 2005 ranked No. 2 in the tennis world. He managed to become Grand Slam champion three times and three times in a row won French Open. That's why the biggest surprise in this year's Australian Open finals was his gaming loss where 38-ranked Tsonga win with 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 victory. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is a French tennis player, whose tennis carrier wasn't so shining as his rival's was but his skills slowly leads him higher between world tennis players. In his game with Nadal, Tsonga with his 12 unforced errors and 17 aces clearly showed he is going to be stronger tennis player than others expected. After very quick and clean match he became a winner and celebrated it by jumping around the court. After the game he added: "It's like a dream. Every day is like a dream. I can't believe it's true." Nadal on the question of what was happening on the court answered only "Nothing." After that he expressed he is fascinated by the way of Tsonga's play, but immediately added that the reason why he lose is that Tsonga is on the top of his tennis carrier and under no pressure at the same time, that's why Nadal doesn't think Tsonga would be able to play like that all the time. How long will Tsonga keep this way of playing we will see in a short time & he will face the winner of Friday's semifinal in which Roger Federer will play against Novak Djokovic.

Edmund Hillary, who was the first man at the top of the Mount Everest in 1953, accompanied to his mountain guide Tenzig Norgay, was also a man of a great heart. He described his final steps to the mountain on the top of the world: "Another few weary steps and there was nothing above us but the sky. There was no false cornice, no final pinnacle. We were standing together on the summit. There was enough space for about six people. We had conquered Everest." Hillary was also the initiator of a campaign to found schools and health clinics in Nepal, which was the homeland of Tenzig Norgay. He also demanded an international mountaineers to clean up all the oxygen bottles and food containers in the area of South Col valley, where the attempts to reach the top of the Mount Everest took place.
