After the match with Samoa, England rugby team become more confident and said they are back on their track and looking forward for the next match with Tonga at the Parc des Princes in Paris. Whoever wins will go out from the pool A and meet Australia in the quarter final. If they fail, they will remain in the World Cup records as the first champions that not only did not managed to keep the title, but also did not get in the last eight. Their performance opened with 28-10 win against US, followed36-0 defeat to South Africa and the last score of 44-22 with Samoa determined blindside flanker Corry who led the team and will continue to do it despite the recovery of World Cup captain and prop forward Phil Vickery, to state that they are expected to win the game and they have on their side momentum, therefore they are positive and focused on them. Also he confessed to be very impressed by Tonga's line of defense that they studied carefully. It's a team that made a lot of trouble to all the others, even South Africa won with 30 to 25. England coach Brian Ashton revealed that today's match will be more tensed and difficult. He said that he hopes the referees will handle the main issues and that outside-half Jonny Wilkinson knows to take care of his own there on the field. All the players agreed they like when fans make a lot of noise at match and despite that at the last match fans where more or less on their side. So give them a chance and you might be surprised how well they can prove to be. Good luck fellows!

Ireland waiting for its last chance by Nina Gotzmannova
Miracles sometimes happen. And the Irish rugby players in the 2007 World Rugby Cup certain prey for one. Five days before their final match with Argentina they admitted, they don't have more excuses for their poor performance and they face an early flight home. Since now Ireland has won two matches with Namibia (32 & 17) and Georgia (14 & 10). This victory is questionable, because both teams are in the bottom of the chart and they didn't win any single match. It would be really shame for Ireland to be beaten by such lamer ducks, so the victory doesn't really count. In the third match of Pool D France beat Ireland high 25 & 3. They are waiting now for the final match, but Argentina is in the top of the chart with 14 points and 14 tries. Ireland has only 9 tries and needs at least 4more. According to Gordon D'Arcy, an inside centre, Irish team has set a special strategy how to beat Argentina. They need to be a little bit sneaky and tire the tough physical defense of South American team. Then they can take the scoring opportunities and avoid another misfire and failure. Anyway, the Irish players must think about their fans and the viewers first. Rugby World Cup is the fourth largest international sporting event in the world. In 1987 the first world cup watched only 300 million of people; in 2003 the final match between Australia and England has an audience of 3.5 billion. It was broadcasted to 205 countries, so the Irish success or failure will be carefully observed by the whole world.

Rugby World Cup is full of surprises, on Saturday at the Stade de la Beaujoire England succeeded to regain their position and get their campaign back on track, how the English coach said it. With a score of 44-22 the British team has more confidence and greater expectations for the up-coming match with Tonga in Paris after which the winner will get out of Pool A and face South Africa with whom England had their worst experience, their record World Cup defeat with 36-0. Unfortunately for Samoa they did not even made it for the eight place as they hoped, but the coach Michael Jones said it was not players fault who gave their best, only that the other team hang there though and proved to be a very good team. Fly-half Jonny Wilkinson managed to get on the second place in the list of the World Cup's all-time leading points-scorers ahead of Michael Lynagh with a record of 206 points, while the first place belongs to Scotland great Gavin Hastings with 227 points. Wilkinson, in this first World Cup match since the 2003 final, kicked 24 points. Also Martin Corry, caretaker England captain, after his side's lead had been in the second-half cut to just four points, scored two tries and Wing Paul Sackey brought England a bonus point for scoring four tries due to his last minute score. Samoa's Loki Crichton, playing at full-back in place of the injured Gavin Williams, made it harder for the British team with four penalties in the first half and another one in the beginning of the second half that was the first point. All in all, the Samoa team was inferior to England because only one player tried to give his best on the field. The other team was clearly more eager to win the game, therefore all the players run for bonus points. Stay connected to see what happens next.

Tour de France champion Landis found guilty in doping case by Nina Gotzmannova
The doping case of US cyclist Floyd Landis is finally over, but with the result "guilty". Two of three arbitrators confirmed the results of a test that showed testosterone usage. But the test was not done properly and Landis, 2006 Tour de France champion, can appeal to Court of Arbitration for Sport. It would be his last chance. According to the results, he lost his Tour title and has a two-year ban of cycling. If he wouldn't appeal, or if he would lose the appeal, he will be the first person in 105-years to lose the title because of doping. Then the title will belong to Oscar Pereiro, who finished second. Landis's last chance to win may be the fact that the testosterone-to-epitestosterone (T-E) test was not done properly. Only the carbon-isotope ratio analysis (IRMS), more difficult test, was positive and the arbitrators said the result of this test is sufficient for Landis guilt. Landis objects to the result, reasoning if the laboratory has messed the easier T-E test, there is no safety the IRMS is correct. Landis invested approximately $2 million to this case. He still states he is innocent and he didn't take anything illegal. He claims cheating is against everything he stands for. However, one of the witnesses, former Tour de France winner Greg LeMond testified under the oath that in a phone call Landis admitted the usage of doping. But Floyd Landis still has friends, who support him. Lance Armstrong, who won Tour de France seven times, shows his feeling for Landis's innocence. Armstrong himself was investigated for doping using in 2005, but nothing was proven.

Ronaldo came, scored and Manchester United won by Nina Gotzmannova
The Manchester United opener in Champions League has brought some surprises on the green field. Ronaldo visited his former club Sporting Lisbon, scored and won. And Wayne Rooney has returned after almost six weeks of recovering his foot injury. For the first time since 2003 22-years old Cristiano Ronaldo has laid his feet on his former gridiron on Jose Alvalade Stadium in Lisbon. Right here, when Sporting beat United four years ago, the manager of United decided to have him in his team. And Ronaldo didn't fail. The black haired winger scored the single goal of the match and doubtless he decided the game, which ended 0-1 for United, but also encouraged his mates. On Wednesday he moved United one step forward to their bid to win Champions League. They had it won only twice in the history, in 1968 and 1999. This may be their symbolic third victory, even though the only major honor that United has not won is UEFA Cup, the second most international competition for European footballers. His performance wasn't surprise; Ronaldo is appreciated and talented young player. The return of Rooney didn't much help him, because Rooney was still a little bit drowsy after his long pause. But Sporting was lot more active in the match than United was. According to Sporting coach Paulo Bento Sporting was controlling the first half and had the best chances. Only the luck that United scored first gave them a chance to win. However, the winner is Manchester United. The football team can dedicate another victory for themselves. They are the first English club who beat Sporting on home soil.

A new record in the history of World Motor Sport; unfortunately it is not about a time record, but fine record. The World Motor Sport Council fined the Formula One team McLaren with 100 million dollars, 40 times bigger than the previous F1 record- $2.5 million. The accusation was of stealing leaked secret data from its main rival Ferrari, after in July a 780-page technical dossier on Ferrari cars was found at the home of McLaren's chief designer, Mike Coughlan. Ferrari mechanic Nigel Stepney, who is supposed to have supplied the documents, was fired. According to Dennis, head of the famous corporation, this won't affect McLaren because they are a strong financial company and that the fine is effectively halved due to the fact that they don't have to forfeit any revenue it's earned this season. Also, probably it won't cost them the Formula One drivers' title; McLaren drivers Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso escaped punishment Thursday. It is surprising why they would risk so much when they have the best drivers, how well Dennis has stated. Hamilton and Fernando Alonso are well ahead with 92 points and 89 of Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen(74) and Felipe Massa(69) with four races left. The sport's governing body (FIA) called a new hearing of the council last week because they found new evidences against McLaren since July and it referred mainly to email traffic between our drivers, and in one instance, Mike Coughlan. Anyway the punishment won't affect them that bad, besides McLaren CEO Martin Whitmarsh will take over the control despite the scandal, according to Dennis. However, Ferrari succeeded to sink McLaren boat at least from the point of view of the fans, the public. Stay connected to see what's happening next.
