England, the winners

After four years of miserables games how Matt Dawson, the retired 2003 World Cup-winning scrum-half said it, England rugby team has finally succeeded to come from nowhere and has obtained a victory against France with a 14-9 score and reaching the World Cup Final. On Sunday all England was celebrating, including the 40000 rugby lovers that were watching the game in the French capital city. Also around 5000 people gathered at the O2 Arena in London for the biggest screening outside Paris. 20 cinemas and giant outdoor screens in Hull, Bradford and Rotherham broadcasted the match. Prime Minister Gordon Brown congratulated the team at the Stade de France. Former Captain Will Carling stated that he was surprised and that England amazed everyone. As for Coach Brian Ashton he was praised by everyone and his decisions were for the first time after the match with Australia and France respected. However, Dawson says that the team still isn't what it should be. Despite all the flaws, he still believes that England has a big chance at the Cup and its adversary, no matter if it will be Argentina or South Africa- the ones that humiliated them in their last match- will be stunned by their performance on the field. Jonny Wilkinson was the hero and both David Walsh in Sunday Times' front page and the Sunday Express are reinforcing his high achievements over the French. Witness at the player's achievements was British Culture Secretary James Purnell too. Moreover, David Cameron, the leader of Britain's main opposition Conservatives was thrilled by the Rugby's team performance.
